It’s the season

to be Jolly,  for Happiness and Giving, don’t let it be the season of empty cupboards and a cold house.
Help the 7 Hills Community Pantry provide those in need with food and cheer during the cold winter months.

 

The Girl Guides will be at the Warkworth Santa Clause parade on Friday December 6th to collect your donations. The following item are currently running low; tuna, peanut butter, juice, chunky soup, instant coffee, Kleenex, shampoo and conditioner.

We will also be at “Magic Under Stars” in Warkworth on Friday December 13th and the 20th to receive you donations.

You can also find Donation boxes at the “Warkworth Pharmacy”, “Scott’s Variety” and “The Bakery”

You can also donate money using Canada Help. A tax receipt will be send to you for donations of $20 or more, if you’re able to provide an email address.

We Thank You for thinking of us at this time of year, and wish all of you a Happy Holiday Season a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

The coming weeks there are lots of opportunities to donate to the 7 Hills Community Pantry

– November 19 at the Warkworth Health & Wellness fair in the St. Paul United Church
– December 1 at the Warkworth Santa Claus parade
– December 8, 15 and 22 we will be at the “Yule love Warkworth” Magic under the stars.

And as always on the web at Canada Helps

We need personal care items such as new and un-opened toothpast, toilet paper, Kleenex, Shampoo etc

Thank you for “Cramming the Cruiser”

Our first attempt of “Cram the Cruiser” was very successful.

@Sharpefoodmarket packaged up 140 bags- some $5 and some $10.  We collected 130 of those bags, plus financial donations.
Each bag had 5-6 items- juice, soup, pasta, tuna, spaghetti sauce or diced tomatoes, canned pasta and beef stew.
Thank you to everyone who helped collect the bags in that hot, hot weather, and those that came to put the items away and helped carry them into the pantry.

The auxiliary police were great , and wanted to help again next year if we decide to do this.

As part of the the hunger awareness week the 7 Hills Community Pantry, Warkworth’s Food Bank, are having a Food Drive at Sharpe’s Food Market in Campbellford.
