The food bank in Warkworth is here to provide nutritional food, support and resources when times are hard and the cupboard’s looking bare. We can provide a stop gap supply of staples like milk, meat, bread, eggs and margarine as well as non-perishable canned and dry goods.
Where you’ll find us:
St. Paul’s United Church (side door)
60 Main Street Warkworth
Check here for the days we’re open.
Open every Friday between 11.00am and 12.30pm
The food bank is run by our volunteers, who transport food, re-stock shelves and operate the food bank itself. If you would like to volunteer, there’s more information here. Donations help enormously too – what we need is non-perishable food donations (no past expiry date food, please check beforehand. We simply have to waste our time turning it into waste.) and if you can, please make a monetary donation here.
The food bank was originally started in 2005 and moved to its current location in St. Paul’s United Church, Warkworth in 2009. In 2012, we proudly became a Canadian registered charity – 7 Hills Community Pantry. Our funding comes from donations from individuals, community organizations, local businesses and agencies.
7 Hills Community Pantry serves Warkworth Ontario, the K0K 3K0 region of Trent Hills.
